They both die at the end - Adam Silvera

Number of pages: 368
Rating: 4☆/ 5☆
!TW! : death, sad story, lgbtq

Note for self : when a book title says they both die at the end, there is no lie ./

Now onto the review-
I liked this book, the way it as written.. some of you might see this book as how on their a last day, two guys spend together and then they die. But NO! It’s not just about this, its about life, friendships that last a lifetime, realizing you are precious and you really matter to people, and you can wish to die on your bad days, but don’t let your last day make you understand  you are worth living!!♡

Synopsis-
On September 5th, after midnight, Death- Cast calls Mateo Torrez and Rufus Emeterio to give them some news: they are going to die today. They don’t know each other, but for some particularly reasons, they are looking to make a friend on their End Day. There exist an app for that, its called the Last Friend, and through it, Rufus and Mateo ae about to meet up for one last adventure- to live a lifetime in a single day.

The action is narrated from multiple perspectives of everyone who is taking part to the action, obviously.
And I can say this didn’t bother me this time, they were completing each other- no repetition, and no long descriptions and chapters!! Yeeeey!!

Even that they were different, something is making them so similar.
Rufus is the sporty guy, the kind of person who is ready for adventures anytime, and he would do anything for his friends.
Mateo is the complete opposite, the creative and smart guy, who cares for everybody and want to make them happy even if it takes their life…
Even like this they meet in the middle and form a beautiful duet, discovering themselves and finally being happy!! ♡
To be honest, I hate that Adam Silvera brought these characters to live for only a day, making them so attachable to every reader, only to break our hearts..
To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist, that’s all. - Oscar Wilde

On the other hand, what I didn’t like because there needs to be a motive for its 4 ☆.
All the action was did well, but what triggered me was:
-the ending. It seems like the book ended all of a sudden, appreciate the concept of it but something was missing..
- the characters approached too fast in my opinion, it was just one day.. they seem to know each other for such a long time, but i can’t go past it
If you don’t think about the fact that the book’s action is only for one day, then the story is beautiful like i said, so that’s why I gave it this rating. .)

So, in conclusion my curiosity for this book, born of course like others because of the title, and i thought it was going to be boring, but it wasn’t. Really good book!! Not gonna lie, i had watery eyes, but didn’t cry..
If you are in need for a sad book, ans you are sensitive- this is your book!! Take the risk, the cry will be worth it! ♡

The Chalk Man - C. J. Tudor

Number of pages: 283 Rating: 5☆/5☆ TW: abuse, blood, mental problems, nightmares, disgusting details  I will start this with a funny story :  I went to a bookstore two weeks ago and I wasn’t planning to buy this specific book, but I wanted another book which was not available, so I was looking through books from the same publisher as “The Chalk Man” and I saw it..👀  And I asked myself from where do I know this book, and then i remember  I’ve seen it on bookstagram at one of my favorites ( @martipaan 💚 thx ) and i wanted to buy it but i forgot about it until that day. Then of course i bought it and read it in the following week. .))  Now onto the review- I really loved this book, it got my attention so quickly that I read it in one sitting. It was my first book from this author, but definitely not the last!! I liked how the action was divided in two time periods:  1986 - where the crime happened and then 2016- the comeback. Throughout the book we se...
