Has this monster became one of my ultimate favorite books of all time?!
Yes, yes, yes!!
Why?!
Let me tell you..

I loved this book so so so much!!!! I read all the mixed reviews on goodreads, also online and I want to believe those people didn’t read it when it should be read, with a different mindset than the one for thrillers and fantasy. You need to be present with your mind, body and soul, to live along the action, and the characters for the book to be worth it!! And also need time to read it ,)
Definitely delighted my soul reading it!! So happy i found it!!

Synopsis
Theo Decker, a thirteen teenager from New York, survives miraculously from an explosion which kills his mom in an art museum and he unwittingly take the possession of a little fascinating painting, his mother favorite.
Eight years later, Theo works in an antique shop, and the carefully hidden painting becomes unexpectedly the gate to access the underworld art dealers.

The book is narrated by Theo in both past and present.
Continuing saying it is FULL of descriptions, and typically I don’t like descriptions, but this book made me appreciate them. ♡
I’ve enjoyed the thoughts Theo had- some of them were sad, others were crazy, others were just happy ones. I can say I lived side by side with him, empathizing and most of the time thinking WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT!?!?

Theo, this guy had a weird life not going to lie. I mean, if i was him I don’t think I could get over some things that happened, and probably not even survive living like that… It’s so sad some kids experience this in life and it is bringing them to awful paths in life, but Theo got over it 50% (if you read the book you will see what I mean by this).

And of course we can’t forget about the art, paintings which take a lot of talking because the story began and also ended reminding us about gorgeous pieces of work. if i think, the whole story is made after them, it all begins when a mother loves the paintings at the museum in their city and from then…

Life is unfair. You always blame yourself for what is happening in your life.. Think a little! What if our bad decisions and mistakes in life are the ones who bring us to a good life. If you didn’t do any of this we wouldn’t be here together today..

I didn’t want to start writing this review right when i finished the book, I thought I could gather my thoughts together.. but I can’t. This book is so special for me and if i could talk about it freely I would do it, but i dont think my life will be enough to exploit it to maximum.
I can’t tell you more. About the characters, the action, Theo’ s development, how it ended. Anything is a spoiler. I will let you discover the book properly, i dont want to rui your experience with this masterpiece.

So, in conclusion, this book deserves to be read. You will see your life with other eyes, depending how you understand it!! But I hope you will read it, tell me how it was after!! Until the next review!!

Seize the moment!! No Mather what, don’t let anything or anyone bring you down. Be you!! Stay safe! <3

Then of course i bought it and read it in the following week. .))  Now onto the review- I really loved this book, it got my attention so quickly that I read it in one sitting. It was my first book from this author, but definitely not the last!! I liked how the action was divided in two time periods:  1986 - where the crime happened and then 2016- the comeback.
